"Red Deer Discount Golf is an independent, locally-owned business, that has grown because of the community support it has received," says Dave Hoppe, owner of Red Deer Discount Golf. "Our store is a reflection of Red Deer! As the community has grown, the store has grown. We take great pride in providing the high level of service we feel customers are entitled to and truly deserve. They really have been the building blocks of our business every step of the way."

Listening to the needs of customers has been essential to the success and growth of Red Deer Discount Golf. Since 2003, two virtual golf simulators, equipped with ball-speed and launch- angle monitors have been installed in the store. In 2008, Red Deer Discount Golf finished another major renovation to develop a top quality clothing area. "With this renovation, as with those in the past, we listened to the customer’s feedback and made the appropriate changes to our business," Hoppe explains. "In addition to quality products, we have also established a great team of club and fashion experts to help serve customers. The specialists in our clothing area have over 25 years of experience in clothing sales, and we also have great employees to help customers with club selection. Our staff work very hard to provide quality customer service to the public."

In addition to customer service, community involvement and support are very important to everyone at Red Deer Discount Golf. "It began with Ron Adam, the original owner, who was very community minded," says Hoppe. "I learned very early on about the importance of being involved in the community, and I’m proud that as we grow, so has our ability to help local charities."

Giving back to the community can happen in many ways. Red Deer Discount Golf has been involved in the annual "Love of Children Classic" golf tournament since it began in 2006. In 2008, the event raised over $325,000 for the David Thompson Health Region, making it one of the most successful tournaments in the province. "This tournament is a perfect example of how our small involvement is one piece of a very successful event" says Hoppe. "Our customers should be very proud of this as well, since our participation is made possible because of the support that we’ve received from the community."

Red Deer Discount Golf opened in the spring of 1994, with a focus on providing premium customer service and quality equipment for all levels of golfers. Owner Dave Hoppe has over eleven years of experience with Red Deer Discount Golf. "At Red Deer Discount Golf, we are committed to the community and are very excited about our upcoming 15th Anniversary in the spring of 2009.
